Hi there. I'm a GM for a Deathwatch Campaign and have an idea to infect one of my players with a Bruul parasite.

http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Bruul_Parasite

The rules for which are in a Deathwatch Book but I was wondering if there would be any other interesting interactions with Space Marines.

I assume that because Space Marines don't HAVE to eat for long periods of time that emaciation wouldn't be too great of a problem. Would the Bruul's behaviour change?
Would it seek out populated areas anyway and attempt to make a tight-knit family of sorts or would it consider the Deathwatch team its family and attempt to assimilate them too?

Any other thoughts, ideas or comments?
Thanks

Okay, to update you guys --- I just did this as a 'sidequest' for Halloween Funbuckets. Ork Kommandoz leftover from a boarding party from the previous session (they believed they had cleared the vessel of Orks), sneaked into the (PC) Chaplain's quarters during his sleep cycle and he ended up infesting him with the Bruul Parasite. The Kommandoz then tried to take out the acting Sergeant (PC Apothecary) in his room. The Apoth was wounded but killed the Kommandoz before checking on his other marines. (OOC - the player didn't know anything else had happened, he was kept in the dark).

He found the Chaplain awake and after a quick conversation (brilliant RP from the Chaplain, rolling to see if he remembered things (didn't remember the Orks and then the Apoth found evidence of them being there)).

The Apoth ended up assuming that the Chaplain had suffered a concussion or something and wanted him to go to medical, the Chaplain refused saying he was fine and just wanted to sleep and be left alone etc. Apoth didn't take no for an answer, especially when he made it an order and ended up trying to drug the Chaplain. It took a LOT and even when he finally did it and took him to medical, the parasite kickstarted the Chaplain by flooding him with adrenaline. This turned into a brawl.

Armoured Apothecary versus unarmoured Chaplain.
After many rounds of fighting, the Chaplain nearly won until the Apothecary was forced to activate his lightning claws or lose. In the end the poor Chaplain lost his arm and was brought down.

The Apothecary was then able to remove the Bruul Parasite using the medical bay but it cost the Chaplain 6 intelligence.
