I am absolutely in love with the Nagash model and I want to have a decent army to play centered around that model specifically.

If you can build him competitively then great, if not just give me an outline of some stuff that can kind of fake it.

Literally, I would not be playing this game but for this model

If you want you play nagash, you can just buy him and whatever death models that fits your taste. In matched play, all you need are three battleline units (cheapest pointswise would be 3 x 10 zombies) and everything else you can probably just summon onto the field as needed.

A large block of skeleton warriors or zombies can serve as your tarpit.

Direwolves for fast objective grabbers or flanking, or or killing artillery.

Morghasts are also good. Harbingers for blitz charges, Archai for tougher opponents.

Flesh Eaters have a bit less synergy with nagash imho. It would probably be more like a flesh eater courts army with nagash tacked on. It would probably still work.

Nighthaunt i have less experience with, but the mortis engine can help with summoning and clearing out low bravery horde armies.

Make sure you have enough models on the table at the start of the game to keep Nagash protected, don't want to lose him to a luck charge roll or stormcast shenanigans.
