Noticed both of your thread and decided to reply here.

First off, I don't know wether the Y'vahra template weapon phase plasma "flamer" actually counts as flame weapon. You know, the "Bale "flamer"" is not a flame weapon now and is "some sort of Daemonic Socessory" , so maybe the Tau one is explained as "it is some advanced plasma brust" and not a traditional flamer, so salamanders do not get the FnP........ It is better to get it clear before you go to the game.

Imho, Fighting a competitive Tau list like that as Space Marines, there are generally three reliable methods, one is using Ironhand, Fist of Medusa Strike Force, bring up CM smashbane which just can't be killed by everything except Stormsurge and Taunar, and charge into those mechanical monsters. 2nd is Draigo-Tiggy-Centurion star, getting invisibilty to relatively reduce the damage Tau can throw at you, while your grav cannon can outshoot them. The 3rd one is full company gladius force, that with 10+ vehicles and 50+ power armored body, and with some luck you may not be tabled by Tau, and can win by grabbing objectives.

Outside of army theme, a few ideas on the units you listed.

If you bring 1st company task force, better have telepathy on your Libby, -2 Ld paired with psychic sherik is brutal to any enemy.
However, I think it is better to drop this formation all together unless you have no other better choice. I doubt that without decent transports, all your veterans are easy prey to the Tau firepower, especially those Terminators, if they footslog up the field, they are targets of tons upon tons of AP2 shots the Tau can throw out for many turns. If you deep strike, you are the plaything of large blast, S8 AP2 interceptor shots. Furthermore, I don't understand the loadout of sternguards, their expertise is short range fire fight, they need a droppod or rhino to get them into position instead of heavy weapons, those lascanons are better armed on Devastator squads.

I am generally not fan of TLLC on Venerable Dread. They don't serve great at both long range and short range. I would suggest equip them with either TLLC and ML to shoot from afar, or give them MM (orAsC) and PF w HF and droppod, which.will overload Tau Interceptor fires.

Tactical squads, assault squads and devastator looks fine.

How does this look?

I only have 3 tanks and I'm keen to have one as a pred.
The Dev's will combat squad into 2 halves.

The Libby will be in a rhino with non-plasma tactical, and rolling on telepathy.

I feel you are missing opportunities to make use of the Salamander's rule giving all characters Master Craft on one of their weapons. I play a Salamander successor chapter (Storm Giants) and this is my favorite part of the army, choosing what power or combi weapons to give each sergeant. For example, your vanguard veteran is the only one who DOESN'T have a cool weapon! i especially like my apothecary who is a gunslinger with a plasma pistol and a bolt pistol.
