So I've been dabbling in AoS an recently converted a bunch of Bloodreavers into Chaos warriors (I like the look better, basically added shields and Helmets with some swords thrown in). By the end ill have 40 of them.
Ive run inquisition lists using my R&H models before for a Heretic Inqusition with assassins and it was a lot of fun.

So with the addition of 40 CRUSADERS, I was wondering what kinda lists and tactics I could run at an ITC tournament. Ill be bringing the Assassin formation for sure so that's 570 points down from 1500 already(my scene plays at this level), meaning I got two detachments and 930 to play with.

What I have:
40 Crusaders
6 Plasma Cannon Servitors
Lots of special weapons dudes

Inquisitors can be chosen from my current HQs based on loadouts or converted out of stuff I have. Same goes for priests and such. Don't want to use Death Cult Assassins or Flagellants, other than that all is fair game.

Well a squad of 11 crusaders with a priest and a close combat kitted inquisitior with all the nasty grenades and ml 1 Psyker in a land raider crusader with psy bolt ammo would be about 550pts it would wreck a lot of face. I'd suggest adding Gray Knights so you can reliably get a character with hammerhand then you should be able to fight nearly anything....

Edit you could even give them the book that allows them to scout first turn then gives other stuff for the rest of the game

Crusaders should not be taken to the exclusivity of other models. They are tanks, nothing more. (A single S3 AP3 attack at I1 is better than literally nothing, but not *much* better.)
Take 2-3 crusaders to a unit, no more than 4. Fill the rest of the unit with something that'll actually inflict damage.

Quite a potent Deathstar unit I saw earlier this year revolved around an Inquisition Warband. It consisted of 8 Crusaders, 4 Priests and a Xenos Inquisitor with Psychotroke grenades, then attach ICs from other factions to it Conclave, SW characters on Thunderwolves with Fenrisian wolves/Cyberwolves, etc.

I know it wouldn't be the strongest list ever but it would look cool and be fun/unexpected.

With rerolls provided by the priests, they can get pretty nasty as you guys are saying.

That deathstar sounds pretty fierce. I'm assuming the priests had evisorators? Can the conclave be taken as a single formation? I'm not too familiar with C:SM

I'm sure I can get around it, but one of the Assassins has that 12in no psychic powers bubble. Id hate to nerf my own deathstar!

Hammerhand+Nades are a must though.
