Played a small game at my local GW the other night, and pretty much steamrolled my opponent with sheer weight of numbers. Here's what I had:
Big mek w/ big choppa, KFF
Boyz mob w/ eavy armour –1 boy w/ big shoota; 8 boyz w/ shootas; nob w/ twin-linked shoota
Boyz mob – 9 boyz w/ slugga/choppa; nob w/ big choppa
Boyz mob – 1 boy w/ big shoota; 9 boyz w/ shootas
Gretchin mob – 10 grots; runtherd
Lootas – 5 lootas
Deffkopta w/ twin-lnked rokkit
So next week I feel like mixing things up a bit. Here's what else I have available and painted:
• 2 more shoota boyz in eavy armour
• Nob w/ choppa and kombi-skorcha
• 10 more shoota boyz
• Killa kan w/ grotzooka
• 14 more grotz and another runtherd
• Warboss in mega-armour
• 3x MANz, one with a kombi-skorcha
• Trukk w/ big shoota
• Big mek w/ shokk attack gun
I'm trying to come up with a list that'll play a bit differently from just firing as many boyz as I can across the board, that'll be fun to play, and to play against. Anyone got any cool suggestions? Much as I'd like to bring the boss and MANz, that's going to eat up a significant chunk of my points so maybe I should leave them at home for a game this small. the game the other day was the first time I'd used my KFF mek (I've a self-imposed policy of not using anything til it's painted) and I was delighted with the increased resilience of my boyz, so I'd probably like to keep him, particularly as the tables at my local don't seem to be particularly heavy on terrain, compared with what I'm used to at home.
