Would like some thoughts on this, with 6 Chimeras, a hellhound, manticore, 2 LR and a wyvern thats a lot of armor for more armies to deal with.
Use the platoons to capture obejctives at home and vets to go around being mobile objective grabbers.

I assume this list would suck versus flyers as most list do and potentially against some deep striking armies. I wanted to include Coteaz with some Plasma Cannons servitors but couldn't find the points for the servitors.
Also open to the idea of dropping some stuff to invite some allies for better options.

IMO the best way to play guard in the current edition (or any addition) is to play to their strengths which is either fielding a lot of armor, or fielding a lot of infantry. Going down the middle path tends to result in your army getting picked apart by forces that are more specialized. My preferred method of play is a ton of infantry and no armor. Antitank weapons are useless if they don't have a tank to shoot at (and are instead pasting a 6 point guardsman).

At the moment I see your list splitting itself up and getting picked apart piece by piece by faster forces. Guard can bring a tremendous volume of fire to the table but I've found that it's best applied when it can be concentrated, which means keeping your army together in a giant deathball (of armor).

Go full mechanized.

I'd say scrap the static infantry platoons all together (they're not going to do much anyway), reconsider the manticore (do you need more anti infantry?), double (or triple) down on the wyvern (they're great at killing things and are hella cheap), take another russ (or two), a mechanised platoon, and a whole ton of conscripts for bubble wrap. Move the whole thing up in a giant ball and blast away. Also you need a way to kill imperial knights, and other high armor targets.

Finally your list is hard to read, we don't need to know that your guardsmen have flak armor and frag grenades, that's implied.

EDIT #2: realistically there are too many D weapons about for tanks to be *very* good, but you can still win games. Massed infantry is the way.

I agree about either going all infantry or fully mech

Whenever I've written lists for guard they've ended up fully mechanised. All infantry sounds great but would be expensive to buy and take forever to paint.

Anyway, as far as a mixed list goes I like what you have. More wyverns is never a bad idea

How about this

Tank Commander:
LR Punisher - Pask
LR Demolisher

Infantry Platoon:
Platoon Command - Lascannon in Chimera
2x Infantry Squads - Lascannon, Flamerthrower, Vox, in Chimera

2x Veterans with 2 Plasma Guns and Autocannon in Chimera
2x Veterans with 2x Meltaguns and Autocannon in Chimera

1 Wyvern
Manticore
Manticore

I like the autocannons because of the 'possibility' of hitting a flyer and I find they are great at popping AV 10/11 vehicles. Aka MSU rhino spam

Lascannons just in case for big stuff
Manticore and Demolisher to hit vehicles or high T models in hope of Instant death

Pask shoots at whatever he likes thats in range

I havent used wyverns but once and it didnt do squat, so idk if in the long run adding 2 squads of 2 is better than the second manticore

I'd say that one Manticore is fine, but two is overkill. They're quite easy to take out, and are also a vulnerable target because of the potential damage output. I haven't had a game where my Wyverns disappointed, and I run one battery of three. Maybe that one game was an unlucky one, but four templates per tank with shred and ignores cover is going to do a number on even the largest, toughest of infantry units.

Maybe drop a Manticore and bring into two more Wyverns. I haven't done the math on that list, but it would leave you with 40pts to add much needed heavy bolter sponsons to Pask and the remaining 20pts on a dozer blade for each Chimera. 5pts per vehicle isn't much, but very helpful in making sure your mechanised infantry make it to their desired objective.
