Hi all,

So this is a list I am working towards for my World Eaters. C&C appreciated

HQ

Kharn with gorechild

Gahlan Surlak

Legion Champion + master crafted power axe, AA, refractor field, volkite charger, bolt pistol & melta bomb

Troops

Tactical squad (15 strong) additional chainaxes, sgt with AA + power fist

Tactical squad (15 strong) additional chainaxes, sgt with AA + power fist

Inductii squad (15 strong) swap bolt gun for chainaxes, sgt with AA + power fist

Elites

2x Apothecary with AA + augury scanner + chain axe

Contemptor Cortus with kheres + DCCW + heavy flamer + havoc launcher

Heavy Support

Predator with lascannon sponsons + extra armour

Vindicator laser destryer with extra armour

Leviathan siege dreadnought with grav flux bombard + siege drill + phospex discharger + 2x volkite

Each HQ goes with a squad, apothecaries go with non Gahlan squads, tanks provide fire support and the dreads advance with the infantry providing close fire support and punch things.

What do you think?

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

If you're running up the table I would go with full 20 man squads plus characters.

I would also take the fists of the Sgts and use them as meat shields for small arms fire, keeping them right up front and shaping your units into a wedge. Use your sheer number of attacks at S5-6 to take the enemy down. Then you have characters to do the heavy lifting. Maybe put power weapons on the Apothecaries if anything.

I like the rest of the list but why extra armor on the predator?

I'm also intrigued by the Grav Flux bombard on the Leviathan, what's the general rules for it? It's not move or shoot right?

I put extra armour on the predator because I had a spare 5 points. The grav flux bombard can move and shoot. It's 18" large blast AP2 and infantry under the blast have to pass a strength test on 2D6 or take a wound. Can't remember what it does to vehicles.

3d6 vs. the Vehicles AV. (I.e. you need to roll 12 or higher on 3d6 to glance/pen av 12)

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.

That's the one, I remember now. Thanks
