Was wondering if this could work well for Kill Team? I know the spawn can't be specialists, who's is a downer but they should still be able to do work. The specialists would be the two heavy stubbers and the non-leader champion. My other choice was to replace the spawn with 3 bikers. Thoughts?

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

First of all, please don't post statlines and individual point values for units and upgrades. Not a big problem seeing as though your new but remember for next time.

As for your list, cultists can be a bit hit and miss: their numbers and weight of fire can be good against small numbers of elite models who can only take out 1 cultist at a time but they are completely outmatched if your opponant takes flame or blast weapons.
That brings me onto the second point: always take flamers in killteam as they are one of the few ways that you can kill multiple models with one guy.

Finally the spawn, personally I haven't used them but reports are that they are extremely nasty in killteam so try them and see if you like them.

That might be an interesting kill team. It can be tough to mix styles, though. A cultist horde with 45 Cultists can be overwhelming by sheer size, requiring multiple kills per unit by your opponent every turn. Your team has 23 units. Once 12 die, you are taking break tests with a whole bunch of Leadership 7 models. If I had a 7 or 8 member Kill team with fairly decent weapons, I could knock down cultists fairly reliably. It would be pretty possible to knock out six per turn and break you in two turns, and a darned cinch to kill four of them a turn and break you in three. You would need to use the spawn to protect and defend the cultists. Flamers will be your toughest challenge.

I tried running Dark Angels Scouts and Black Knight bikes together. My opponent focused on killing off my scouts and ducked the bikes. The break test didn't go well... Anything you can do to avoid break tests in kill team is a good idea.

Bikes rock in kill team, but I think chaos spawn would too. I might steal your idea and use my chaos spawn, but try backing them with Marines instead.

The good thing about Kill team is that it's easy to try out new ideas. It takes limited money and time to set up a new team, and it also plays quickly. That way, if your idea doesn't work, the misery only lasts a quarter of an hour or so. Try it with spawn, then try it with bikes.

Good luck and have fun.
