Putting my first 1,000pts list versus Orks together. Would really appreciate any feedback / comments. Since is Orks I've squeezed in Pedro to get preferred enemy and synergies with cents. Although an expensive HQ option I thought it would be worth the extra points.

Overall I think you are a little light on AV firepower. But other then that it looks like a reasonably solid list.

What’s the 5 man tac squad doing? Seems a little odd. On foot, but with the flamer/MB. If you want a camping squad (besides the snipers) you might just be better off with more scouts.

Thanks for commenting. On the 5 man tac squad - thought I'd send them to get mid-field objectives and not be completely toothless. Would you use another load out or even use the points on something else?

Maybe to address both your point I could field a bike squad with grav-fun but felt to me like I was a bit light on troops to go for objectives.

For a 1,000 point list I think 2 scouts squads in LSSs and a camping squad (all ObSec) should probably be enough. What I might do would be to scrap one of the LSS squads to boost the tacs to 10 men and put them in a rhino. But that’s going to be a lateral shift, where you sacrifice the mobility of the LSS for the durability of more PA boots on an objective. Can’t really call it better, just different.

Or you could scrap your entire troop section to replace it with a pair of tac squads in pods. But that would change the whole flavor of the list.

If you scrap the snipers:
You could get the tacs a TLLC razor, or just a rhino

If you scrap the tacs:
stick a ML in with the snipers.

In either case, points could be also be spent to:
Pick up a 2xMM regular land speeder. (or a TML/HB one)
Sink some points into MMs (or AsCs) on the LSSs or c-melta on the scout sarges in them. Or both.
Replace the flamers on the cents with melta

I want to keep the flavour of the list (really excited to used those LSS against low init units) but I've scrapped the random tac squad for a landspeeder with HB / TML and a couple combi-melta on the scout sarges in LSS (and had 5 pts left which I used on armorium cherub).
