The models are looking good, but I was too distracted by copies of Block Mania, Warhammer 2nd edition and tubs of ice cream in the background.

2-player box looks to be about the same amount of stuff as the LI starter, for a third cheaper, and of course with actually coherent forces that make legal lists. And the 1-player large boxes are just brilliant, I just wish for a few more ball tanks!

It's definitely tempting, I find something about it to be more appealing than I do LI. I will probably sit back and watch to see how the game develops for a year or two and then hop in later.

That or I'll buy the 2 player box, one of each intro box and 3 of each faction box and end up with 5x as much stuff as I'll ever use.

Any US sites have preorders up? I feel like I am in for a two-player box and one of each faction big-box, once I can get them ordered.

Have there been any good rules previews yet? I imagine it will heavily resemble Dystopian Wars?

Tbh I think the only real us distributor/source us gadzooks gaming. Iirc they are the primary distributor abd everyone else has to order from them.

And from what little we've seen of these rules it looks pretty different mechanically from dystopian wars, in the way that bolt action and flames of war are mechanically different from 40k. Some aspects are similar or modified from the other, others are unique.

Weird, the infantry doesn't have filled in square chunks of plastic between the gun and the chest, I thought that was just a fact of life at this scale.

We’ve been teasing the upcoming release of Armoured Clash through sneak peeks on our social platforms and behind-the-scenes blog posts, but the wait is over.

That’s right, it’s time. Starting now, you can pre-order a range of launch products for our 10mm scale tabletop wargame, Armoured Clash. Are you ready to lead your army to supremacy?

The best way to get started are the Faction Starter Sets. Ideal for those sworn to a specific allegiance, these Crown and Empire Faction Battlegroups are the ultimate way to start collecting your chosen army. Battlegroups are packed with troops, terrain, a landship and, unlike the Introductory sets, these sets also have the 160 page rule book and the Command and Conquest cards to ensure you are fully equipped in your pursuit of victory!

For those looking for an intro to what's in store with Armoured Clash for the first time, the Crown Introductory Set and Empire Introductory Set offers everything you need to get a feel for the game. If you’re exploring the game with a friend, then The Battle of Singapore Two Player Introductory Set is ideal for budding generals who want to try out the game together. All three of these Introductory Sets include models and a short quickplay rules booklet to get you fighting as quickly as possible.

If you've picked up one of the three introductory sets and decided that you want to explore Armoured Clash further, you can grab a copy of the individual Rule Book, Command and Conquest Deck and Dice Set that are available on release.

These are due to be released at the end of September 2024. Here’s more detail of what’s coming:

Armoured Clash is a 10mm scale tabletop wargame that uses highly detailed miniatures to represent ranks of infantry, squadrons of armoured vehicles, and huge fighting machines known as Behemoths. Very nice that the starters come with terrain and the intro sets look to be a nice way to tip in

only if you use 40mm render and shrink them down to 8mm
But you know, nobody cares about the details of models anyway unless it is from competition

I disagree, details matter. What GW did with legion was criminal for a company of that size.

No I never bought anything more than a single copy of the LI starter set lol. There's no community interest in it in my area so it's backburnered for me. On the other hand the US distributor for Dystopian Wars opened up a small store literally down the street from my apartment so I am probably more likely to be able to play armored clash than I am LI.
