So today, here in America, we celebrate Thanksgiving. A day where we look at our lives, and focus on the things that we are thankful for.

So I'd like to wish everyone, including our international brethren, a Happy Thanksgiving. I would love it if everyone could share a few things that they are thankful for in their lives. I'll do so myself in a bit, just gotta go get cleaned up from my pre-game workout. Gotta burn those calories so I don't feel so disgusting later.

Happy Thanksgiving!
I'm thankful for my family, my job, a little free time to pursue hobbies.

Ok, so the wife and I just did a last second grocery run for the afternoon. On the way home, I'm sitting in the turn lane, and someone in a big ass truck going about 60 (oncoming) swerves into my lane. I managed to hit the gas and jerk the wheel right, and he missed me by about 6 inches.

Came that close to dying just about 15 minutes ago... so yeah, things to be thankful for.

It has been a hell of a year for me. I had major health issues. My oldest child was diagnosed with some pretty significant mental health issues. Work stress has been horrendous. My circle of friends has been shattered. There has been no shortage of things for me to be down about this year, but there has been plenty to be thankful for. I've gotten over those health issues, and I'm back on track to getting physically fit again. My son has received the care he's needed, and we've been able to get his life back on track. Work, while stressful, has also been rewarding, as I've received a huge positional promotion, that will hopefully soon translate to a pay promotion as well.

I own a house, I have a wonderful wife, with three children. I can provide for them everything they need, and a good chunk of the things that they all want as well. I have a very rewarding job, and I've began embracing more hobbies that I find rewarding as well. Life is incredibly good for me right now.

So I hope everyone else is able to find the things in life that make it great. It's sometimes hard to miss it in the seemingly never ending gak storm that can be thrown your way, but they are there. If nothing else, we've all got this great hobby that we can all bond over.

Although Thanksgiving is actually a month and a half past, I'll honour my 1/4 American heritage and join in here too.

I'm immensely thankful for my wife and two children. They give my life joy and purpose.

I'm also thankful for GW for creating Blood Bowl, Mantic for Kings of War, and Fantasy Flight for X-Wing (among others) for giving me an outlet when I need a little break from all the joy and purpose above.

We were once so close to heaven, St. Peter came out and gave us medals; declaring us "The nicest of the damned".

have a great day !

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Somewhere in south-central England.

I had several Americans in the shop today, buying beer for a UK based Thanksgiving tomorrow, because there is no holiday so it's easier to take a day off on Friday.

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

On a surly Warboar, leading the Waaagh!

Started the day with scrambled eggs, stuffing w/gravy and sweet potato hash browns. Let the assault on leftovers begin!
