Hey guys, so im looking to sell my rulebook that I bought back in 2014, but I cant find it anywhere else in the world. Ive scoured the web and cant find my version. I am hoping that one of ya'll can tell me if you recognize it?
Id like to make sure its from the current edition still, and see if I can find a price range for it!
Its got a white cover and a big red blood dripping skull on the front (takes up half the cover), red pages and three book marks attached to it. Its dated to 2014, is a hard cover and its one of the mini rule books (but not like the ones you see in Dark Vengeance or any of the boxed sets).
If anyone has any information, let me know!
If pictures are needed, I can provide, but im not home right now.

Pictures of it would probably help.

I'm assuming it's a 40k rule book (because you don't seem to be specific on which game it is for).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That be a Limited Edition print of Warhammer 40,000: The Rules, 7th Edition, aimed to be more portable than a full sized book

According to BoLS, it was sold for $58 for a very limited time, around the same time of the Tyranid release in 2014.

Sounds like a limited edition of some sort, but best I can find are images with no description.

Ahh, wait. Here we go.

That's definitely it. Thanks!
$58 sounds like what I paid for it.
Think I should sit on it or just list it?

With the possibility of 8th Edition coming to fruition, it is unlikely that you'll get a return for it now when the community is feeling, shall we say... anxious about the future.

My advice would be to keep it, but I don't know what other Dakkanauts reckon.

Go ahead and try to sell. Just don't expect a great return-8th is rumored pretty heavily, and most people already have their rulebooks.

Yeh, If I listed it now it would be because I am worried that it will drop in value as soon as 8th drops

I think you've got to the point where you're out of time to sell it at good value; I'd wait it out for the possibility of it becoming an item of memorabilia, like a regular Limited Edition rulebook might be. I think if you try to sell it now, you may be disappointed with what you'll end up selling it for.

That's all speculation, of course. If you have a plan of action for selling it on, go for it!

I have one of those as well, quite a nice little book. I have no idea what the market would be like for them. It is really a gamers book. And if 8th comes out, its value as a rulebook drops off dramatically. Although is there is a dramatic shift in the rules, and people want to stick with 7th, it then gets a major leg up over the less rugged softback small rulebooks. As a hardcover, it should last a good long time, and unlike the weighty tomes of the full sized rules, it’s easy to slip in your gaming bag.

You could check out e-bay and see what old rulebooks go for. I’d guess that the fact that an edition is out of date would outweigh any potential collectors value for a limited edition. But that’s truly a guess.

Definitely check ebay for the price (of sold listings, not current listings) of other old special edition rulebooks. What are 6th and 5th edition books going for? IIRC there was at least one special version in there.

My hunch is that it'll never be worth more than now, but others above seem to disagree.
