Subject: [2,500] Imperial Fists - Schism of Mars fun!
Hi all! Tomorrow, I have a game against my buddy tomorrow who plays Mechanicum and Iron Warriors (not always together). As a bit of a change of pace, instead of chucking my DG at him, I've decided that my fists and custodes deserve a trial by fire. Anywho, any C&C is appreciated, though I am trying to stick to the slight theme of Sigismund and Co. + custodes on mars:
Spoiler:
+++ Schism of Mars (Warhammer 30,000 - The Horus Heresy v42) (2500pts) +++
++ The Age of Darkness (Custodes Allied Detachment v1) (1315pts) ++
····Force Organization
······Battles in the Age of Darkness [ Age of Darkness Primary Detachment]
The idea is Sigismund and the Champion go in a squad each (maybe both in 1 squad, just moving the spare marine over?), and rush towards a thread, while the Custodes go up the center tanking fire and eventually stabbing things I do like that nothing in the list has less than a 2+/5++ and is really stabby, but I also know that it is sorely lacking in ranged power. Like I mentioned before: any C&C is nice!

You are definitely correct on lacking ranged firepower, personally I'd cut down one of the Custodes squads to five men to try and fit in a Heavy Support squad. I play a good bit of Imperial Fists myself and I find the Heavy Support Squads having Tank Hunters is awesome if you can scrape the points to give them Lascannons, if not then Missile Launchers will have to do.
Love the list concept though, best of luck playing it!
Edit:
If you drop the Plasma Pistols on the Champions (Because you'll probably fire them twice or so in the average game 15pts is a lot to pay) you'll be able to keep more of the interesting elements of your list if you plan to expand on it.

It started out poorly: with me running 3 units: a 6, a 1, and a 1. Great
then I got shot: out of ~20 wounds caused, I saved 2. It should be noted that none of these wounds were AP: 2 :(
that being said: After everyone else was dead and gone (by the end of turn 4) I had 3 shield custodes survive against 5 castellax, 3 vorax, and ~20 tech thralls for over 10 rounds of combat, which was cool
