Hello everyone,

i have got an upcoming tournament and made a 1000 pnt bloodbound list and i wonderd what you might think.

1x aspiring deathbringer. (80)
command trait: Dark Avenger. (lots of order players)
artifact: Chaos talisman.
1x blood secrator (120)
1x Skull grinder 980)

10x blood warriors with goreaxes and and a goreglaive on the champion. (200)
10x blood warriors with goreaxes and and a goreglaive on the champion. (200)
5x wrathmongers. (180)
5x Skullreapers with Daemonblades and soultearer.(140)

It is a slow army but one with a very high attack output, with the right positioning the warriors have 5 attacks each.
The wrathmongers are there mainly to give the rest the plus 1 attack and stay far enough away from the enemie to deny it them. but they are also great for clearing big bad things with there rule to let something attack itself or allies when a wrathmonger is killed in cc.
i wish to know your thoughts, anything that would be better suited for this list and why? any and all advice is welcome.

Kind Regards,

I think you will have problems with:

Fast pace melee armies (cavalry or destruction): They can rush you and outflank before you are in formation and take out all support/ hard hitting units, and even abuse the extra attacks of the wrathmongers.
Monster spamming armies: They will anihilate this kind of list if their built is a bit synergic

Shooty armies: They will take out all support and heavy hitters and take away your momentum before you reach anything.

Pure objective wise you can experience problems, as you do not just have to take out your enemy . You are slow and have to move in a big block which gives your enemy the + of agility on the objecitves..

But that aside it can be fun list but it depends a bit on how competitive your environment is. If they are really competitive and maxing stuff out, you might not be strong enough, if they play a bit more fun/fluffy, this will be a great list to play as it had some cool and funny combos without overpowering or leaving your opponent with stuff that can't be dealt with in some way.

Thank you for the reply, any suggestion as to the list?
something that would be a better choice or should i rebuild the list all together and try to go for something a bit more speedy with like valkia and skullcrushers?

Scealon, what I would suggest is Chaos Khorne warriors, they are cheaper by 20pts compare to the Blood warriors and offer more protection against mortal wounds. Bloodreaders are awesome and cheap as well. I would suggest something like this:

2 units of 20 reavers, 240 pts
1 unit of Chaos KHorne warriors 180pts

Thrown in a blood secrator to babysit the blocks and don't forget to bring some heavy hitting characters. You will need them

I'd take two Bloodsecreators and drop the Skullreapers for some Bloodreavers.

Armies: Eldar, Necrons, Blood Angels, Grey Knights; World Eaters (30k); Bloodbound; Cryx, Circle, Cyriss

Thanks for the tips people, thing is though i know bloodreavers are very good but i just don't like em:(
In my personal experience the blood warriors do more for me than the normal ones due to the no respite rule.
I made a new list to try, love to hear what you think.

1x Jugger lord(140)
general, dark avenger, chaos runeblade
1x bloodsecrator (120)
1x Valkia (120)
1x skullgrinder (80)

10x bloodwarriors with goreaxes and goreglaive on the champion(200)
3x Skullcrushers with glaives(160)
5x wrathmongers (180)

Total=1000pnt
thinking about maby swapping the skullgrinder for 10 warhounds for grabbing objectives.
