So, this is probably terribly old news, but I just rediscovered the coverart for Graham McNeill's God King, and I had this wistful wish that they'd given us this instead of the SE's.
Since the SE's are here to stay, however, I'll still say that I'd be doing backflips for an Order release that looked like this. Something about the "bronze age barbaric" setting just appeals to me.
Thoughts? Would anyone else like to see a line of models like these?

I am sorry, I don't understand. When you say SE, you mean Stormcast Eternals? How does this apply to the pic above?

Yeah, SE means Stormcasts. It relates to the picture in that... well, I don't care for them; the lovechildren of Marneus Calgar and King Leonidas do nothing for me, even with my opinion on AoS having improved since the debacle of the original release.
I would have preferred if Sigmar's followers had gone with the more Conan-esque look of Sigmar and his followers in the picture, and was wondering if I'm alone in feeling that way. Does that clear it up?

I think maybe that barbaric Sigmarites would be too visually similar to the Chaos forces. I would rather see some high-fantasy followers of Sigmar, more like what the Griffin forces looked like for Confrontation.

Does that clear it up? Thank you for your explanation. Yes I can fully agree with what you say here. Actually that is how I see this. No Stormcasts but just Chaos human minis living in the world making the best they can do. The are not evil, don't care about Chaos, but making the best in the harsh would they live in. Your picture you show fits my vision perfectly.

Hmm, well it would certainly fit some parts of the setting. The Devoted of Sigmar basically are remnants of civilizations such as kingdoms or tribes that hide away in caves and the like waiting for Sigmar's armies to give them a sign of hope. Then there's the noble warrior tribes that Sigmar looks for to add to his Stormcast army. (Archaon slighted him, before the campaign for the realm of life, by wiping out such a favored tribe while Sigmar was distracted.)
Hopefully the Free People release will focus on multiple types of warriors throughout the mortal realms like how the Imperial guard has multiple soldier types from different planets. Just instead of G.I Joes and Rambos we'll get Gondorians and Conans.

"Normal" humans are usually popular with enough people on shear relate-ability. I would imagine a faction of humans (even with very fantastical weapons/mounts) would do well.
