Alright, this is really strange list that I came up while just chillin the other day.

Question 1: Will I immediately become "that guy" for fielding a formation at 1000pts?

Question 2: Is this list tooooo cheesy that nobody would have any fun against it?

I saw the "librarius conclave" formation the other day and started reading up about it and realized that it can be taken with dark angels. In turn, Ezekiel can be taken with the formation which I find AWESOME. This formation has the potential for creating a super awesome deathstar so I got to work making a list. I want your general feedback on how you think this list would perform and any changes that I should make to its composition.

On to the list:

Inquisitorial Detachment

Hq: 118pts

-Ordo Xenos Inquisitor (Psyker Lvl 1, Rad grenades, Psychotroke Grenades, Plasma Pistol, Force sword, 1x Servo skull and Liber Heresius)

Elite: 467pts

-Inquisitorial Henchmen (9x Crusader, Ministorum Priest, and a psyker)

-Inquisitorial Henchmen (5x Acolytes with Flak and Bolters, 3x Acolytes with Flak and Plasmaguns, and a psyker)
-Chimera (2x Heavy Bolters and Storm Bolter, Psybolt ammo)

-Inquisitorial Henchmen (5x Acolytes with Flak and Bolters, 3x Acolytes with Flak and Plasmaguns, and a psyker)
-Chimera (2x Heavy Bolters and Storm Bolter, Psybolt ammo)

Total Points: 1000pts

Alright my strategy for list list is to pile in all of my independent characters into the squad with the crusaders. Firstly, this list will be generating 13 warp charges when it is at full strength.

The Ordo Xenos is kitted out as such to be a force multiplier to the Deathstar unit and I would most likely role his psychic power on the telekinesis table. He has the Liber Heresius to hopefully give scout on the first turn and other goodies to the deathstar.

I wanted the deathstar unit to be tanky so 9 crusaders seem to fill the role of low AP sponges. The ministorum priest is also a force multiplier for this squad giving its rerolls to armour and wounding in CC.

Now the most important part of the list, the Librarius Conclave. Part of me thinks its a better idea to cut down the number of librarians and also reduce their mastery levels but hear me out. Ezekiel will most likely take the primaris power of Malefic Table (Summoning) and then role twice on the Telepathy hoping for invisibility. The First librarian will dedicate himself fully to the Telepathy table increasing the chances of grabbing invisibility and in turn grabbing the primaris power. If invisibility hasn't been snagged by this point the next librarian will roll on the telepathy table to try and get invisibility. If invisibility has been taken at this point he will role possibly role on the Librarius Table hoping for Veil of Time. The final Librarian will then role on the Dark angels exclusive table Interromancy or Librarius.

So that is the choice of powers for this list and here is how I plan on using them. This formation allows you to choose a psyker from the formation at the start of your psychic phase and that model can cast powers known by other psykers of this formation within 12 inches. When this happens other models from this formation within 12 inches can't cast powers. In addition the psyker that is chosen as the caster will most likely HARNESS WARP CHARGES ON A 2+. Omg wot. So basically he is just going to cast absolutely everything they know (Summoning, Invisibility, maybe Veil of Time along with all of the other powers picked up on the way). Summoning will probs need 4 warp charges just in case one fails although the perils chance goes way up . 3 Dice will go into invisibility and 3 more into veil of time. The left over warp charges will be used to cast powers picked up along the way (an armada of witchfires, blessings and maledictions). And maybe there will be a few warp charges left for the inquisitor to do his thang.

Correct me if I am wrong, but can't a psycher only cast the number of powers equal to their mastery level? It might say otherwise in the Librarius conclave, but with my understanding, you can only generate two powers on a 2+

I dunno, the big rule book says you can cast powers untill your out of warp charges or powers.

There was a huge FAQ change a few weeks ago.

So if the librarius conclave doesn't give specific permission for the librarian to cast more powers than his mastery level, you can't.

You'll want at least one ML2 one to do the casting, because he can cast more than the others.

Also, is the reason you're playing it as DA because you're a DA player? Or is it just to get Ezekiel? Because Tigerius is a lot better for the job.

My main issue I can see for the deathstar is mobillity, even with scout, it will be pretty easy to ignore.

Lacks mobility.

Probably better off splitting Librarians into the Chimera squads.
