Hi all,
About to do my first planetary assault game and will be taking my Dark Angels vs Orks. I will be the defender.
We're going to play the first mission and use the planetary assault formations.
I'd welcome both list advice and tactical advice.
On the list I was thinking to try and take a number of devestator squads (plasma and missile launchers) as I won't be moving much, a Terminator squad or two to take on his heavier close combat squads, a sniper scout squad for picking off high toughness characters, and a couple of whirlwinds for fire support. Any advice appreciated. Should I take a flyer? I thought Ravenwing wouldn't be much good as I only have vanilla Ravenwing and they would be caught in combat if the came on from reserve.
If anyone has done planetary assault advice on what to do to pick good fortifications and how to avoid firestorm death before my first go much appreciated.

I would avoid putting termies in cc with a cc ork unit. They're likely to have multiple power klaws.
