Although i find marines a very boring army to play, a few days ago i decided to put some together that i had laying around in my bits box. After  seeing the finished product i began to wonder what he would look like painted.

Now i have never painted a space marine before so it was really fun. So much in fact that i acually have started a space marine army just to paint. Ive chosen to do the angels of iron(Aly Morrisons marines in back of the SM book). I loved the metal armour and all the purity seals so i alsp decided to do that. So no more waiting here he is:

He's mostly done though i still have to finish basing him, put writing on his seals and armour, and also paint the wreath thats on his back. So any comments?

Taper the parchment on your purity seals though, more like a tear drop shape with the bottom 'snipped'.

Really like the customised bolter (Gives him a 'Built for the way I kill' look), though I would change the bolter casings colour for a bit of contrast with the metallics on the armour.

Are you going to get more kits or just make an army with what you've got?

Thanks Usiel, ive been thinking about painting the casing black so i may try that now. Ill also snip the seals alittle bit.

Im not sure if ill be doing the army, but if i decide to i will definatly be buying more kits. For now ill be paiting and converting the 4 or so models i have.

Thanks again!
