How do you guys think this army will turn out in terms of competitive biker army play?
My take was to make a heavy armored Biker Army that could handle flyers, MEQs, HQs, Infantry and Tanks with some relative ease?
What should I change before I buy it all up and put it to use? (Already have StormRaven and Marenus Calgar w/ 4x Honor Guard)

Chapter Tactics: White Scars
Formations: StormWing

Bike Squad of 5x Bikers
2x Grav
2x Barebones
1x Khan w/ Moondrakken

[285 Points]

1x Sergent

[125 Points]

Command Bike Squad of 5x Bikers
1x Apothecary w/ Melta
3x Melta Bikers
1x Serg w/ Melta
(Apothecary can use Melta I've heard according to the FAQ)

[190 Points]

Scout Bike Squad of 3x Bikers
1x Astartes Grenade Launcher
1x Barebones
1x Sergent

Storm Raven
Twin Linked Melta
Twin Linked Lascannons
Extra armor

[205 Points]

Stormtalon Gunship
Typhoon Missile Launcher

[130 Points]

Marenus Calgar and Honor Guard
(riding in Stormraven as a heavy hitting armored convoy)

1x Marenus Calgar
Armor of Anochlous (because it's apperantly mandatory to have honor guards with him)

Honor Guard Squad
2x Honor Guardsmen with Power Axe and Bolter
1x Chapter Champion
1x Chapter Banner Holder
(The Codex doesn't state wheather of not the banner holder is included or not, and there is no point cost for him so I assume he is included)

[395 Points]

I know taking Marenus Calgar in point games lower than 2000 is often frowned upon, but I like his model, rules and skills.
He'll give a much needed punch to the army when fighting others who aren't expecting Power Players like him.

The Armored StormWing Convoy should be able to go toe to toe with any model out there and have a more than ample chance of obliterating it.

So any ideas? Suggestions? Changes?
I have two points left, anything I can spend them on?

Thanks in advance for the replies (if any lol)

I was thinking Khan on the bike, or is Calgar a better Choice?

Oops I Misread
I have Calgar and Khan as HQ for the army.
I thought you were asking for Warlord.

Just asking for HQ, since Calgar being a Lord of War makes him a bit separate from the list (also, as leader of the Ultramarines, he'd be in his own allied detachment, which is a whole different can of worms since I don't normally play with allies)

He would be considered allies? He's of the same faction, Space Marines.

I thought allies were like including the Inquisition, Imperial Guard or Space Wolves etc.?
Why would be be considered an allied detachment?

From the Space Marine Codex (page 189 if you've got it handy):

"If a unit's datasheet contains a Chapter in brackets after the Chapter Tactics special rule- for example, 'Chapter Tactics (Ultramarines)- the unit must always be drawn from this Chapter, and therefore cannot be included in a Detachment or Formation with any units that are drawn from other Chapters"

So Calgar cannot be included in a pure White Scar list because he is an Ultramarine. However, he can be taken in an Allied detachment because they would be Ultramarines, not White Scars.

Thanks, I've been searching it up.
Yeah Thanks for showing me that.
There are no consequences, I just have to have Khan be my Warlord; ad run Calgar and his crew as an allied detachment.

Do you think the rest of my list is okay?

Marine Bikers, especially White Scar Bikers, are always a fun build. I suppose what you need to look out for is ignores cover shooting; a Heldrake or some markerlights could ruin your fun before it really gets going.

You might want to look at some formations; The White Scar Hunting Force from Angels of Death gives you double Hammer of Wrath and a bunch of bonuses against enemy HQs, and should be a solid core for the army

Okay Thanks
I'll give that a look.

One last question if you have the time. I looked up the Hunter Force, and it looks fantastic, but it requires me to have 1x bike captian
(as well as an attack bike squad, but I was looking for a way to include one of those, so it works out)
Can I legally have 1x Khan, 1x Captian and 1x Marenus Calgar in allied detachment, or does this violate a rule for HQ count?

Well, the Bike Captain can be switched for Khan on Moondrakken, so that problem solves itself.

How you would build this is your main formation (Khan and the Hunter Force, plus an auxiliary choice to make it a Scarblade Strike Force for extra White Scars fun) and then the allied detachment (Calgar and some Ultramarines). that should be legal

Iv'e looked up some extra details on the White Scars Detachment, and stared a new thread for it; this is my updated list. (Getting rid of Calgar, as reliably getting him in before turn 3 may be a problem.)

Any suggstions?
What else can I spend my one point on?
Most Importantly: Do any of these have objective secured? (I HAVE NO IDEA HOW IT WORKS OR HOW IT IS DECIDED)
and
I satisfied the requirements for the Hunter Force, Auxiliary Force and Scarblade Formation, so do I get benefits from both Formation and the Force along with those from my 2 auxilary (Stormwing and Conclave)?

I think it’s a pretty competitive list, but I wanted some other perspectives.

ALSO

Should I pick Pistols or Chain swords for the regular bikers? (I know its minuscule but id like to know)
