I'm returning to the game and back in my day we had the ol' 1 HQ and 2 Troop choices setup.

I've bought Eldar for a painting project, because their bigger models are simply amazing, I've been trying to find a way of making an army that means I do not need to paint a model smaller than a Wraithguard, I think I've cracked it by using the Mymeara stuff.

Obviously the Pale Court Battle Host unlocks those options, which seemingly gives me the option of taking that plus wraith host/wraith construct.

I was wondering though, Wraith Titans section, can this be taken in a normal game? As it doesn't come under an Apocalypse formation I thought it could, but a Revenant titan has the apocalypse stamp so I was still unsure.

If anyone could give me some advise on making this list a reality (I know I could just go Iyanden and take a Spirit Seer which would unlock this, but still looking around).

Thanks for any advice.

Don't play a titan in a normal game. Even if your opponent is ready for it, it's hard to crack. For HQ's take spirit/wraith seers.

Am I allowed to take one with that formation though?

Doesn't the Wraithseer say it doesn't count towards your HQ if you select a normal 1HQ/2Troop list?

The Pale Court with swapping out for a Wraithseer certainly works, but to attempt to get Wraithguard as my troops I believe I need to run a spirit seer is that correct?

Sorry, the changes are a little ropey working across like 3/4 books and thanks for the input

No you don't get Wraithguard as troops in the current codex.

But the Iyanden codex is still useable am I correct? So if I take a Spirit Seer they become troop choices?

And if that isn't correct I would have to run Pale Court/Wraith Host to not have to take small based models?

I never had the Iyanden book so I'm unsure. I don't even know if you can still use it.

But if you can't use Iyanden then you do have to use Pale Courts and Wraith Hosts to avoid Unbound.

Tigerstyle,

So you've got a few questions here that I think I can answer.
The biggest thing to remember in 7th is that unless you are using a Combined Arms Detachment (the old standard force org), you do NOT need to worry about 1 HQ and 2 Troops, only what your formation or detachment that you are using requires instead. Let's look at the Eldar Warhost and using the Pale Courts.

First off, using the pale court, you are able to take Graveyard of Dreams and Tombship of Fallen Heroes to get a Wraithseer or Spiritseer, 0-1 wraithlords, and 3 wraithblades. This will be your core choice for the eldar Warhost, giving all your units an auto run of 6".

You now have the requirement of having 1 Auxiliary choice to go along with your pale court. Here, as you mentioned, you can take a wraith construct or wraith host and fulfill your choice. Everything is now bound and will have an auto run of 6". Note that the wraith host will also have battle focus, meaning all the wraiths will run 6" and then shoot, or vice versa.

Finally, you have the Wraith Titan formation available as a support choice. This is a new formation you can take in the warhost as a 0-1 support option, legal in any game.

The Revenant titan no longer has an apocalypse symbol. It's a Lord of War, which many armies have access to through different formation. The Titan Formation has a formation symbol, which is quite common. The only thing limiting you taking your titans is going to be available points.

Hope this helps!

this is pretty much the best way to run pure Wraith armies, and if done properly nothng betas the looks of 30x Wraithguards marching the battlefield with 2x Wraithlords 2x Spiritseers along a Wraithknight and Hemlock. Small count army but hard and powerful.

Also, just regarding using a CAD with Mymeara:

The HQ restriction was lifted on the 2nd Edition re-release of IA 11. The Wraithseer is just a regular HQ now.
