Happy day after Christmas everyone! Hope Santa was generous with his gifts from Games Workshop! If only there were something you could watch while you built/painted your new toys ... OH WAIT! Here's a brand-new Glacial Geek Battle Report that would be perfect just for that! https://youtu.be/exCVpCHxy9c This week my Deathwatch take on the Daemons of Nurgle! A distress signal is received from a distant Imperial outpost. They are being overrun by alien creatures and need assistance immediately. The signal cuts out and no further attempts to contact them are successful. The Deathwatch are dispatched to go handle this xenos problem and to go cleanse this Imperial planet of any Alien filth they might find. When they arrive, though, they quickly realize that what these Imperial citizens had seen overrunning their position were not, in fact, aliens, but rather they were Daemons. Sworn protectors of the Imperium, the Deathwatch send out a call to the Grey Knights, but engage the Daemons still, not wanting this incursion to grow too large. Will the Shield that Slays be able to control this Daemonic incursion, or will the fiends from the Warp be too much for the Xenos killers to handle? Watch and find out!

Really enjoying your batreps, especially when they feature your Deathwatch.

Cool game as always! Seems like a lot of times when you win, you win with a tiny fraction of your models left compared to your opponent. I guess you're good about playing the mission, something I often lose sight of when I play (I like to kill stuff ). Always great to see how the Deathwatch play, although at this point I've shelved my plans for getting Deathwatch in favor of building up a full Battle Company for my Dark Angels since I need a FOURTH major army as much as I need a hole in my head. Maybe eventually, though.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700
Check out my P&M Blogs: ZergSmasher's P&M Blog | Imperial Knights blog | Board Games blog | Total models painted in 2025: 48 | Total models painted in 2026: 12 | Current main painting project: Tomb Kings

The Grotsnik Corp Bump Feelerer 9,000. It only looks like several bricks crudely gaffer taped to a cricket bat.

Thank you! I'm so glad people like these!

@ZergSmasher Yeah I've noticed that too! I definitely know I've been getting better at playing to the missions (something I was AWFUL about in the past) and that has certainly helped my win percentage a lot ... Sometimes enough to overcome my propensity to roll 1s ;-)

@Starwarsninja12 Yeah, I try to be as clear as possible with the battle reports, but I guess there's only so much I can do and keep them from being 5 hours long :-( ... I hope they're not too confusing!

Ahhh, yeah ... Well hopefully I explain it well enough that they've started to make a little sense at least!
