Subject: Using C:IA to make a multi-faction army?

Do you think a modular army could be made from Codex: Imperial Agents? I was considering making a core out of Militarum Tempestus or Skitarii, then building around that with the GK, SoB, and DW formations, but have been considering using Inquisition henchment and just using MT models. I think it could work well to allow the use of my Sisters of Silence and Custodes as well. I haven't been able to pick up the Codex, it's been sold out on GW, so I don't know what transport options the Acolytes have versus the MT taurox prime?

Thank you, Oldzoggy!
I was also just hoping for opinions about the idea of a modular army. I was thinking something like bringing the Daemonhunter with a NDK and interceptors, acolytes with hotshot lasguns and plasma or melta, riding in a razorback or chimera. I'm not sure if the flexibility and points saved for the acolyte is worth giving up BS4 over the MT.

The book is great for building a multi faction Imperial army. It shines in compiling all sorts of the more exotic options., However acylotes equiped as MT are not ideal to replace MT's. You losing access to orders and the drop in BS is just not worth it. If you want to field MT field MT if you want to field Acylotes go and field them. If you just want their transports you can however just field 12 point acylote squads and accept the 1st turn not in a transport issue.

Ah, mostly just wanted to use the models, what would you recommend for the load out of Acolytes?

There are quite a few options, I tend to run them either minimalistic ( no equipment at all) as special weapon squads or some strange / not that point efficient large squads that uses all sorts of other traditionally henchmen squad members made from models I like to build and field regardless of their performance in the more casual games. But your build also seems fun, its is just a bit expensive so don't expect it to be that good when the majority of your army consists of them. ps you are not the first one who wonders about this Here is a link that might help you a bit more if you are really interested efficiency note this is based on the old point cost. http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/271643-warrior-acolytes-hot-shot-lasgun-or-bolters/

If you like space monkeys you could also add one to the acylote squad. by using the Inq formation. It has the potentiall of giving your unit some serious buffs such as increased range and or a better armour save
