So I think I have come to the conclusion that Blue Horrors get more bang for your buck than Pinks. Let's compare.

11 Pink Horrors with Iridescent Horror or an Icon is 104/109 pts respectively and 2WC
2x 11 Blues is 110pts and 4 total WC

While the 11 Pinks would effectively split into 22 Blues, you cannot guarantee when, where and if it happens as 1 big unit of 22, or multiple smaller units over the course of the game.
You also do not get ObSec on the Blues if split from the Pinks. The lower T also increases the likelihood that the Blues get wiped in CC< rather than surviving to take an Instability check that prevents splitting.
And you start with more WC and more powers (just in case you roll a really good one from Change)
Pinks can also be Summoned later if you really want to annoy your opponent as they try to kill all those wounds in the later turns of the game.

As a side note, until GW makes Blue Horror boxes, I highly recommend Lizardmen Skinks. You get 24 in a box and plenty of extra arms to glue on a third or forth arm per model.
