I received my first new GW product since the late 90's as a Christmas present - the wife has just scored some extra points, guess I can't really complain about tidying the garden up

I am impressed by the quality components(compared to what I expected) the new sculpts are definitely larger than I expected but are nicely detailed. The only issues I have are that the orc linemen are looking too armoured, the human linemen look too similar to the blitzer and possibly too many claws on all those linemen.

I don't do much conversion work, a novice in that regards, mainly painting but I thought I would share this with you all so you can see the differences.

Orc linemen as they come out the box.

Orc linemen after removing the hanging front armour piece.

I still think their claws are too long, but I might leave them as is, opinions appreciated as a second or third pair of eyes and opinion can make all the difference - also removed the spike on the helmet of one of the linemen to try and make them look a little more standard.

Comparison photo to show difference a simple couple of cuts can make. This is a little fiddly as the part is a bit bendy but it is very simple to cut off so requires a sharp blade and a little patience.

Humans, just the top part of the helmet removed off the linemen so the blitzer stands out more, sharp blade and a little sanding to smooth out. Still might also reduce the claw length etc. But again opinions appreciated.

Nice, simple conversions. I've been planning on converting these miniatures myself so it's great to see what you've done with them.

I think the humans are great but the claws are completely over the top. I'm considering getting rid of them altogether, leaving stabdard knuckledusters which I think loos violent enough.

I'm also planning on getting rid of the various armour spikes to make them look more athletic and less dungeon mastery.

I'm happy to keep the punch weapons on the blitzer as he gets strength increases but the linemen do look a little too wolverine like for me :p I may trim some of the claws down as well, when I get time as I'm back to work tomorrow :(
