Well after a while out of the hobby I've began with a new mechanicum army, I'm still waiting for most models but am currently painting an imperial knight to go with them.
This blog is hopefully to keep me motivated with painting as I'm an incredibly slow painter.

Here's a few pictures of the armour pieces I've currently painted, not all of them are complete as I'm waiting on a few paints or haven't had the time to finish them

It's a few thin coats of tamiya clear red over retributor armour to give it a more metallic/candy red look

Had a bit of free time today and managed to mostly finish off the gauntlet, will probably paint the chainsword next as it's fairly simple to paint. I love how all the chevrons came out, but my god it takes forever to put on all the masking tape and make sure it's lined up properly

Didn't have much time to paint today, due to exams and coursework upcoming, though I did manage to magnetise the weapon mounts and the waist joint.
The weapon mounts magnetised really well, but I think I'm going to need to redo the waist join to improve stability a little

Rightttt, finally got back round to some painting after finishing exams.
Managed to finish off the fist and arm today

Well I've been super busy with course work, new job and team training for climbing. But I've finally got some progress pictures!

Full legs are finally done! along with a lot of the main body and carapace

With some Salamander terminators I painted a little while ago

Managed to get the chainsword and the rest of the base knight complete. even stared some of the weathering





Next up to complete is the carapace weapons, other than the icarus chainsword of course!

After moving a round a bunch and a lot of other things going on, finally got back to painting.
Managed to get the first/tester model for my mechanicum mostly done, still needs a little more weathering, and painting on the melta.

The orange is a bit darker IRL than my phone camera shows
