Just for some context, I'll explain the current situation that my players are going through.

They're stuck in a Groundhog Day scenario in the Capital City on a planet. Every 4 hours there's an EMP that disables any active tech. Time resets at the end of the day or when they all die. Secessionists are using the distraction to go into open rebellion, so Imperial organisations are distracted at best.
They're about to start the '7th' day having worked out the source of the EMPs (which is also the source of the temporal shenanigans but they don't know that yet).

Next session they'll come across a secret buried vault belonging to the Yu'Vath - specifically one Yu'Vath who made it his personal apocalypse shelter to ride out the invasion/war with humanity. His vault is screwing up, hence the Temporal effects. Anyway that brings me on to the questions:

------------------------------

I plan to have pairs of Crytalwisps as random patrolling entities inside the Vault itself yet they create an interesting problem - their ranged attack has a very high probability of removing a day and probably more of memories. Should I make that attack a physical problem such as physical damage that gets reset like the rest, leading to the restoration of their memories or a mental problem that carries over, like phobias leading to them losing said memories permanently?

There shall be a Sandslime guarding the main entrance to the facility and I expect at least one of my players to begin suffering the effects of the Toxins (transforming into a Sand Slime). If one or more of my players transforms entirely into a Sand Slime, I was thinking about whether there would or should be 'permanent' effects beyond mere insanity after reset: Phantom tingling from remembering disintegration? 'Sensing/hearing the Yu'Vath', like Picard after he had been Locutus?

In the Vault itself, apart from the defences, I plan to have about 100,000 human slaves in stasis (belonging to the Yu'Vath), a construct storage chamber (with inactive war constructs) and then a treasure chamber. What sort of treasures could I expect to find belonging to the Yu'Vath? Rare Metals or Valuable Gems? I don't know, both seem rather prosaic, any other thoughts?

Last question. I have failed to come across any hard and fast descriptions of the Yu'Vath physically themselves. Does anyone have any sources or information about what they look like? Failing that, any personal ideas that I could use?

Thanks in advance!
