I am currently in the middle of trying to offload an army. I have posted units on eBay and facebook trade sites, but it is mostly people nickel and diming me trying to get the best deal possible and it is taking too long. I was curious if people could recommend any good sites that will take everything and give me pennies on the dollar. I am looking to get at least 50% retail, given that the models are well painted. I am looking for actual cash, most places only offer store credit. If you can help, thanks.

Try Bartertown and the swapshop here? Some people are looking for fully painted armies due to time/hate painting/etc, and you might have some luck.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Due to work, I can usually only ship any sales or trades out on Saturday morning. Please trade/purchase with this in mind.

Well I was going to suggest Trader A at www.trader-a.com who I hear talking and being advertised on loads of podcasts...

But... the site appears to be down.

He does have an ebay store and does exactly what you say - make on offer for the whole army.

TO of Death Before Dishonour - A Warhammer 40k Tournament with a focus on great battles between well painted, thematic armies on tables with full terrain.

If you can't get 50% of retail selling to other wargamers and are getting frustrated with being nickle and dimed, you are in for a bad time trying to sell to stores.

Stores are going to offer you even less, as they need to make profit of the resale, and that's if they even take the models in the first place.

You're more likely, in my experience, to get 50% in cash from a private buyer than you are to get 50% in trade from a webstore/business.
The business expects it might have to sell your stuff at 50% of retail and, even when you factor in the wholesale prices they buy at, the profit margin shrinks too much for it to be worth it to most.
I've seen your painting. If this army is up to your usual quality, I think you have a damned good shot at getting 50% or more of retail for it easily.

Why not simply put it up on ebay at the Buy it Now price you want. It will sell - or it won't - in 10 days or less. Then you'll know what the market thinks.

Post it on the Swap Shop here with pictures and your desired price.

Or eBay. List it as Buy It Now. If it doesn't sell, relist it and lower the price. Know how low you're willing to go. I think you can relist several times if unsold.

It's not a site you asked for, but have you tried Reddit's Warhammer swap page? I recently had some luck unloading two bundles there, while facebook and ebay groups weren't much of a help at all.
