Apart from orks being my fave faction I also consider genestealers to be my 2nd liked faction.my question is are they a good faction to go with and what are there strengths?

The genestealer cult list is -- IMO -- certainly a fun army to play.

Given the way you can use what are, traditionally, Imperial Guard units I see them as being a good way to build multiple armies at the same time.

You say you've got orks already so -- and depending upon your gaming group -- you might well be able to use trukks as "counts as" vehicles for example.

Or there were...so presumably still are -- ork/stealer hybrids so might be cool for conversions too.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

I can't say if they are fun to play with because I haven't gamed with them yet. On The Tyranid Hive forums, people there like it a lot for fun. Not over powered and can be fun and win a few games as well as loose games.

The new FAQ has nerfed them somewhat.

Funny thing I read this morning over there someone said "was this suppose to be the new Ork codex" or something like that.

Just be warned, starting something new right now in 40K is taking a chance. In the next few months a rumoured 8th edition is coming and it can change everything. Seeing how 6th edition and then 7th edition nerfed Tyranids in the beginning, be very careful when starting anything Tyranid related close to a new edition coming.

But man, beautiful minis.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?
