I need help please. I just really took a look at the Tzeentch minis, and wow, they are beautiful. I am telling myself, I don't need a new army especially when I have so much on the shelf. But dang it, they are calling me. So what I need help with is, I would like to know if I can play this with what I have, and if I don't, what do I need. Before we go any further, sadly I am not working right now, so money is an issue, but my wife has some spare money for me she says if I want to get a few things, but not a lot.

Since money is an issue, I only started collecting the GW dice for now. At first I was told my FLGS couldn't get me the dice because it was sold out. He did some work and was able to get me a set of the Tzeentch dice. I noticed the symbols seemed familiar. So I noticed they looked the same from the Silver Tower. I have Silver Tower game. I just finally figured out that these are actual Tzeentch minis, so I might be already there and have a Tzeentch army without spending money or much money.

So what I have. I have the Alliance books. I am guessing I can use my Chaos Alliance book? Or is it a different one? If so which one? Sorry I forget the proper name for them. Can I use this, or is the Battletombisciples of Tzeentch a must? I know it will be great for fluff and I will miss out on that but I prefer getting minis if at all possible before buying books. I believe I can get the war scrolls of GW site and on my iPad AoS app correct? Thing is, can I still get the points, or is this available only through the Battletomb? Is there an option to get the points on the iPad for a cheaper price? If so does anyone know the price it would cost in the AoS app?

The gaming group plays a league where the games are 1000 points. So I am wondering, do I have enough minis with the Silver Tower set? Will that give me a fun army to play with? Is it playable? By that I mean, I won't get crushed. I don't care if I loose when I play, I just don't want to be behind the eight ball sort to speak. I already play Tyranids.

If I need new minis should I try and see if I can get another Silver Tower boxset or should I get something else? I am not familiar with Tzeentch so I am not sure the new sets that came out last week and this weekend are already in the Silver Tower set or not. If they are, which ones are in it? If not, which ones are not in it and I should be looking to get and why.

As I said, sadly money is an issue. If I can only use the Silver Tower minis without buying anything else, I was thinking of getting that Keeper of Secrets, I think it's called. Sorry the name can be wrong. The Magnus size bird that should be out soon. Will I be able to use that in a 1000 point game? Would this be possible?

Now another question. I haven't really touched my Age of Sigmar starter set. So I have all these Chaos minis I was planning a project for them but it never came to be. Can I use them as "counts as" for something Tzeentch? I was thinking of painting them in the nice blues/purples that the Tzeentch range has. Is this viable? If so what can I use them as?

Last question. Before I try converting or start painting the Chaos minis as "counts as", what is the play style of Tzeentch? I a have played 2 games of Icewind Assault set and I see that is really an assault army with no magic. I take it Tzeentch is a magic army. Are they assault or shooting army as well or not? I just want to make sure I have a feel for them and not playing the same way as I am with Icewind Assault boxset minis.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

'Murica! (again)

Davor are you on TGA (the Grand Alliance forum)? If not, I think you'd benefit greatly from it with questions like these. None of the troll, all helpful fans & community. Very knowledgable, and from some folks even more in the know. Just a thought.

Not I have not been on TGA. Is that the one where Bottle has his Hinterlands? I just signed up today for it.

I will go ahead and copy and paste what I wrote here and put it there. Thank you.
