I'm making an undead zombie.... one whom a necromancer has had a bit of fun adding and removing parts from....... what should I use in order to make the flesh look decayed?

I firstly recommend the finish drbrushing leaves. It really adds to the crusty and bedraggled look.

I used a dark green base and then drybrushed rotting flesh over my zombies. The finish looked very rotten. I also use a pale blue (almost white) on the eyes which makes them look like poached eggs and very gross. Picking out sores and wounds with spartan amounts of blood looked great too. Base the blood with scab red them mix brown and red ink and wash the blood.

I have also found most of the pastel colours to look good like bubonic brown (a mustardy colour). I also tried blueish zombies once but it didn't work so well. But I did find that differnrt looking finishes on a group of zombies still looked good.

I would say experiment with different techniques until your happy. I hope some of these help.

Usiel - brrrainsss....

P.S. Super Quick zombies: Spray black, drybrush white, rinse with green or brown ink, dry brush pastels.
