I am able to pick up a new army in one go here after selling off some stuff I dont use any more. I am super interested Mechdar more than anything. Id like this list to be fun, and semi competitive. Not planning on taking it to LVO but I wanna do OK in my group of players (orks, genestealercults, marines, guard, necrons and wolves)

Here is what I am planning on picking up. Its right at the top of my budget so if I swapped anything out I would have to add back in an even value

Codex (duh)
2x Start Collecting
1x unit of Eldar Windriders
1x Falcon
1x Unit of Fire Dragons
3x units of Dire Avengers
3x War Walkers
2x Eldar Skyblade boxes
1x Hemlock Wraithfighter

This gives me 25 dire avengers to split into two wave serpents for shooting crowds. Fire dragons doing what they do best. Fire Prisms for some big guns and bikes and war walkers for some S6 goodiness. 2 Farseers for some psyker stuff (also super interested in casting spells!) and 9 jetbikes which I dont think is too much. I was planning on running the Dire Avengers and Firedragons in an aspect host while the rest round out a CAD.

Any ideas to improve or stretch my dollar? Is conceptual idea in my head not that great? Not looking to do 45 warp spiders and jetbikes. Just semi competative and keeping with a mech theme. Thoughts?

That is a workable basis. My favorite way to build a list is to think of all the different unit types out there and try to get a couple things in the list that can deal with them. The more common the thing, the higher priority in the list.

Such as AV13+? Dragons and Prisms (mostly dragons though, cuz prisms have it rough with the one shot that wants to shoot everything and still might miss)

TEQ? GEQ? MEQ? Between transports, Avengers, lots of S6 shots, and psychic powers most infantry can be hit hard. Just remember to focus down units when you can. The Hemlock is even handy for those darn Necrons and their triple saves.

Honestly, Eldar mech can pull its weight pretty well if you push it hard enough. Couple Fire Dragon units and Avenger units in Serpents with chin cannons, a few Lance/Cannon Falcons, maybe a couple Hornets and a Hemlock... That is a lot of potential fire power to throw at your opponent. Try not to squad up you vehicles with a build like this one, you want to be able to spread the shots around opposing transports if you have to.

Can you use formations in your meta? It sounds so.
The Falcon formation is good. Take 3, and you get fault-less Deep Strike with them. Taking as Aspect Host of +BS Warriors, for that Drop Pod-type strike.
The fliers supplement has a Hemlock and 2-3 CH formation.

The main Warhost formations need 3 squads of a type, a Farseer and support. The minimum amount of Jetbikes for the mobile Warhost is something like 9 troops, a Warlock and a Farseer, and a couple of Vipers. Maybe more.
Add to that the Aspect Host with Falcon or Wave Serpent transports, and maybe fighter support.
Aspects want to be either WS or BS based, to get the benefit, and DAs (versatile) and FDs (AV) should be able to aid the Jetbike core.
Farseers are a useful addition to almost any unit, though. Keep them near the Hemlock if you have one.
Add more Aspects with or without transports. The War Walkers can Outflank, but the rest of the army if fast enough for most things.
Warp Spiders are handy in any army. Don't dismiss them, but don't overdo them. Keep them small and cheap.

Thanks for the feedback! Looks like some more troops and falcons potentially after this buy. I can use formations yes but Id rather buy the cool stuff now and run it in a cad than have to pick up things like vypers which im not super interested in. I can certainly move towords it though.
