Ok so I'm a little confused on how I gain access to some of the abilities they have.

My army is sort of a combination of units from chaos. If I wanted to run a tzeench battalion to get the destiny dice and the tzeench artifacts, I would need to run minimum 1 leader and 2 battle line right.

I guess really why I want to know is, if I wanted to use some of the tzeentch command traits what the minimum I would need to run in order to grab them in a 2 k army

Current build is as follows, is it possible to basically have half my army tzeench and the other just "chaos"

20x chaos Warriors sword and bord
10x chaos warriors helbard
10x chaos warriors helbard
20x fireglaives

Daemon smith
Chaos lord
Cursling
Daemon prince

2x death shreeker
1x magma cannon

I'm just confused on how using disciples works and how it limits or effect your army build.

Unfortunately you cannot make an arcanites army. In order to be arcanites, everything must have the tzeentch keyword or be slaves to darkness. The chaos dwarves and the artillery instead have the keyword Legion of Azghor, which forces you to be generic chaos... which is a damn shame if you ask me. Your army looked very nice and it would be cool to have tzeentchian dorfs.

You only get the Tzeentch Battle Traits of your army has the Tzeentch Allegiance. From page 156 of the General's Handbook:

Every unit and warscroll battalion in Warhammer Age of Sigmar is part of one of the Grand Alliances – either ORDER, CHAOS, DEATH or DESTRUCTION. Many units and warscroll battalions also have more specific allegiances, for example, STORMCAST ETERNALS or SYLVANETH. If all the units and warscroll battalions in your army are ORDER, for example, then it has the ORDER allegiance. An army with the ORDER allegiance – sometimes known as an ORDER army – can use the potent allegiance abilities rules found on the following pages.

When your army qualifies for more than one allegiance – e.g. all of the units are ORDER and STORMCAST ETERNAL – you must choose which allegiance your army will use before each game. These restrictions aside, you can use allegiance abilities whenever and wherever you play your games of Warhammer Age of Sigmar.

cannot correlate their innate inferiority with their inevitable
defeat. It would seem that stupidity is as eternal as war.'

So basically I would not have access to the tzeench command traits or the destiny dice stuff, same I was just interested in the command abilities but oh wel, price I pay for a generic chaos army I suppose but I get all the cool toys so.

Yup. To me this is a lot akin to Infinity's sectorials: want specific and cool stuff? RESTRICTIONS VIATCH!
