I'm thinking about putting together a couple units of these to use in a Conclave Aquisitorius for those games where a War Convocation would be too over the top. I'm struggling with deciding what equipment to give them.

For the range weapons, the heavy arc rifle doesn't wow me in an army with haywire in abundance, but there is something to be said for being able to deep strike them exactly where they need to be from the Holy Requisitioner formation. Considering one unit with heavy arc and one with torsion cannons and giving the tech priest the Memento-Mortispex. He can join whichever unit is more valuable in the game state and the formation overall would have good flexibility.

For melee weapons I'm even more torn. The hydraulic claw seems better in most situations, but I'm not sure the 10 points is worth it. The unit isn't exactly a close combat powerhouse with WS3 and 1 attack.

What thoughts from people with more Breacher experience?

Breachers are ... eh. If you must take them Torsion are best in the holy requisition formation and arc the best for footslogging.

If you have the points, get the power claw. They only have one attack so it mind as well be at Str 10. However if you need to cut points ANYWHERE then snip them. Usually if they are in combat they are dead.

I prefer the Haywire guns. 3 shots with the torsion cannon is just not enough with all the ways things can save today. Id much rather take 6 haywire shots and drop haywire from other areas such as the vanguard.
