Hello ladies and gentleman

So since I finally started my imperal fists after a long couple years I find myself picking up models that....... are not just imperal fist.

Such as space wolf heads nothing wrong with a beards but apperantly only wolves grow them the rest are prepubescent. Also black Templar models tend to be on my buy list quite often. So here is my question what are the best units these can stand in for.

High marshal halbert
Emperors champion
Sword brethren
The other black Templar guy
Ultramarine champion.
Blood angel jump squad.

I need to go to work every day.
Millions of people on welfare depend on me.

The leaked Grey Knight model in The Gathering Storm III has a (edit) Van Dyke beard? Drago also has some facial hair, if memory serves.

I was thinking Big, Bushy beard, but that was actually on the unique Custodes model in the forgeworld thread. whoops!

I think the issue is less that other space marines can't grow it, but rather that they're too conditioned towards rigid hygiene.

Unless you're a Space Wolf, where you need it to soak up the alcohol before you get it on your robes, or a Grey Knight Grand Master, who can do whatever he wants, because who will tell him otherwise?

So... go for it.

There are a number of non-wolves with beards, so no problem there.

Sword brethren could be honour guard, vanguard vets, command squad, vet sarges, or a number of things, depending on their gear.

Helbrecht could just be a captain with a c-melta and a relic blade.

Emp. Champ I’d go with HG with relic blade.

UM champ depends on gear.

BA assault squad could be a counts-as vanguard vets. Or just field them as normal assault marines and call it a day.
