Hi very new to this group and never painted a figure before. Before my children were born we bought a Warhammer starter set about 500 points of empire and 500 of orcs. We also bought about 1500 of dwarfs and 1500 orcs nightgoblins. When the children came along we put kept them in original boxes safely. Now 10 years later we feel we wish to paint them. I was hoping to go with a Scottish theme being Scottish using https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Scotland (navy) and the following image https://www.bing.com/images/search… Also thinking of using bronze for regulars silver for officers gold for rulers on metal parts. Ideas would be helpful regarding undercoats paints needed to get to table basic standard

I quite enjoy Duncan's painting videos on the Warhammer YouTube channel. The longer videos tend to go into a lot of detail, but he has a few that are specifically about how to get things up to tabletop standard quickly.

Hello,

(your bing URL doesn't work)

As The Turnip Master said, take a look to the Warhammer TV Youtube channel, there is a lot of useful tips especially in the "Tip of the Day" series.
More generally, there is a lot lot of useful video on Youtube. Personaly, I've created a (private) playlist with all the quick tips video I found useful on YT, and it helped me a lot to improve my basic painting (I m a beginner too).

Can you maybe specify your questions?

The first few parts of the Miniature Painting 101 series on YouTube are very good for getting started. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLB0292071C3B38CAC

For example, Part 7 goes over the basics of undercoating.
