I heard that regular Marines will paint their LEFT hand red and when they become Veterans they will have BOTH hands red.

Now I have no problems with that but what about Librarians and Apothecaries? Will they have both hands red as well?

If anyone could clarify exactly how the fist color system works for units- that'd be great(as i don't want to paint a whole bunch and then realise I did them wrong :( Heresy!)

Also according the the codex are the aquillas on Crimson Fists depicted and silver or white?

Much like the Imperial Fists, it's actually changed from codex to codex; IF Helmets on terminators weren't white until this edition. So if you want to paint codex compliant fists, go by what's written in the current codex - with the expectation it will change again at some point.

As for Libs and Apoths, 'Thou Shalt Have Blue Librarians' isn't actually written anywhere in unrevised fluff, and fully white apothecaries aren't mandated either.

Some people find the idea that other people can be happy offensive, and will prefer causing harm to self improvement.

This is the first I've heard of the hand thing, last time I looked it was just by helmet.

The old way was left hand red, both hands for vets. That would included sergeants, vanguard, honor guard, sternguard, etc.

I don't recall anything about Apothecaries or Librarians. I would paint them red as well.

I prefer my Aquilas to be metallic, so I would use silver.
