I signed up for the Alpha, it's pretty cool.. basically a 40k version of Diablo. So far though I haven't been able to finish a single mission, the game usually freezes up like halfway through, and it won't let me switch out even to the task manager to force quit, I have to turn my PC off and on. guess I should try it in windowed mode just to be safe... pretty good for an alpha version though.
So much could have been done with this license...so much.
I think it's time to stop expecting the 3rd tier developers that GW get's to make their video games to actually make the game we all want.
Generally, the PC games aren't horrid - but I don't think we'll ever get the Inquisitor, Dawn of War, or Battlefleet Gothic games the fanbase has been clamoring for.

I think it'll be cool in the end. I like Diablo and I paid for it so I'm gonna play it regardless but right now it's just not playable, crashes too much. I'll wait till they do the next patch and try again. I think it's still pretty far from release but it's definitely grimdark enough so far.
More Martyr, this time showing off the Heavy Weapons Crusader class! This class can be devastating if used properly. The game is still in Alpha so anything can change!

As an Alpha it looks pretty polished - which worries me, but overall it looks pretty fun.
The heavy weapon Inquisitor looks like it's pretty boring though, did you find that you wanted to be in the thick of it more than the methodical long-range setup?
Also...what's with the death animations? Everything just explodes - like the champion you killed in the beginning right after the Helbrute - he just turned into jelly.

Yeah they fixed the big bug that was making the game freeze up yesterday, so I got to play a good 5 or 6 missions. Gameplay is pretty fun, but right now it's just random missions. You pick a planet and pick a mission and go kill stuff. Really needs to get the campaign added
Was a little bummed, I found a big and nasty multi melta for taking out those nurgle dreds, and when I equipped it, it poofed and I was stuck with my default weapons again. Also you're only able to change your equipment between missions, kinda wish you could equip stuff as soon as you find it.. maybe that's planned and not in yet though.
Overall, pretty sweet for an alpha test version so far.

Hopefully that's planned. It'd be kinda silly for this Diabloe clone to lock you into equipment for a mission, but drop tons of loot during missions.
Developers have released a road map for Inquisitor Martyr, you can see what is planned throughout the year.

I dunno man, a well made ARPG set in the 40k universe seems pretty pimp.
Diablo is a great game, use the right elements from that to create a 40k version and I think we have a winner

It's pretty good so far, even with limited content. skill system is a lot like victor vran, with weapons granting skills (and keeping up to two equipped at the same time), along with certain items giving a grenade ability and armor giving various abilities. Weapons all feel good, even if some share similar skills (i.e. can you really expect auto/single fire to do differ between an auto gun/pistol and a bolter/bolt pistol?)

New update is live and we finally are able to play a new class, the ASSASSIN! Also another big feature is the Cabal system which has also been added, the game is giving us new content and developers are meeting their promises, I think this game may be one of the few Warhammer titles that does the IP justice! Hope you enjoy the video.

This game looks like it could be be the Warhammer 40k game we've been waiting for. However too burned by other kickstarters and mechwarrior online to ever back something early again.
Not sold on this title, what I have seen so far dose not really impress me. And if memory serves me correct its being developed by the same folks whom made the rather absymal Van Helsign games. But fingers crossed that it turns out as a decent game
Took the game for a short spin today, beat the initial area and a couple of the missions after you unlock the ability to travel around the Sector.
I found the game play fun in that Diablo and Torchlight way, was smooth enough with my only real issue being miss clicking and running when I wanted to shoot. The graphics could use a little polish, but its still being worked on yeah?
All in all fun, and the voice acting is alright. I dont know if I can recommend it at full price. But I definitely have recommended it on sale.

been playing it off and on for about 3 days now
its been a good bit of fun so far
only minor complaints so far (things like text not keeping up with audio sometimes, and misclicking causing my gunner to run right up)
i also agree, try and get it on sale
The other advantage of getting on sale (and one of the main reasons I'm waiting), is over time there should be more enemy variety and more content in general.
Currently there are cultists/guard, Nurgle daemons and a couple colours of chaos space marines, and that's pretty much it. Dark eldar are supposed to come in an update in a couple months(?) and hopefully they'd add obvious things like other daemons, orks and tyranids
There is a lot of feedback from users. Devs will have a lot of work for make it a better game. They need to fix a lot of playable things. Balance the weapons for example. More missions type. Better xp gain.
