Cog in the Machine

Hello Y'all. I have recently began the endeavor of creating a lore and model accurate Skitarii Ranger Cosplay for NYC Comicon, armed with only a computer, sewing machine and 3D printer. I have been able to supplement all of the parts for the armor through my own modelling skill (these models are there to 3D print.) However I have not been able to create a very accurate representation of the Ranger helmet. I have contacted GW in hopes for a miracle that they would want some publicity and offered them the rights to the cosplay in exchange for the helmet 3D model (However we all know how GW sure does hate sharing So thats never gonna happen!) I was wondering if any of you guys have made, found or are making any sort of Skitarii Helmet. If you guys have any experience in modelling and are willing to help someone out I would love it!

Thank you guys so much!!!!

It actually seems fairly easy, just a red hood and a dual filter respirator. Paint the respirator/gas mask gunmetal and tint the lenses blue.

Peregrine - If you like the army buy it, and don't worry about what one random person on the internet thinks.

OR if its too difficult to get a Ranger Helmet, Modify an old Medieval helmet for Vanguard (as the Vanguard helmets are based on 13th Century Infantry Helmets)

Also may i ask, where did you get/make the robe?

Jup this is dirt simple. Stop thinking in modern day geeky methods. And start thinking in 70's - 80's prop building methods. Also do not skimp out on the materials when you could just as easy use the real stuff. Use the wool blankets as a base for heavy robes instead of synthetic. Go to an army dump and buy yourself a respirator / gas mask. But do check the filter type before you buy them some might be dangerous to modern day standards.

The tubing and all shouln't be a problem really and you might want to finish it off with some classical black latex parts.
