Best way to paint faces ?

Howdy Howdy, I've been painting some guard mini's and I was curious what the best way is to paint faces.
I've seen some people paint them on their own( Not glued to the rest of the mini) The others paint with the heads connected, Could use some advice and would like to see what people on here think

I always paint mine unattached - you'll find it's canny hard to paint details when they're hidden by weapons and such. I just stick them on a small BBQ stick or something with a blob of blue-tac. Hope that helps.

**General Annoyance**

It really varies from model to model; some will be absolutely fine to paint already attached to the models, whereas others would be best added to the model after they've been painted.

You're painting Catachans, yes? They should be fine to paint glued to the rest of the body, since there's not really anything going on past their shoulders that could interfere with brush control
