Sup boys,
This is my first ever attempt at crafting a usable army for tabletop use. I thought 2k was a good place to start (and the least £) for
HH.
Research (Google is my friend) has pointed me towards this below, and I wanted your thoughts and some clarifying answers to my questions! Please!
(Kudos in large part to this thread
here, however it seems that, unless BattleScribe is completely useless and wrong, numerical points have changed quite a bit and smoke launchers are now baseline?)
Here it is:
(Rite of War: Pride of the Legion)
HQ – 325
Legion Centurion
- Artificer, Burning Lore, Chaplain, Plasma Pistol, Refractor Field
Zardu Layak
- Master of the Legion
ELITES – 635
Apothecary
- Artifier, Augury Scanner
Contemptor-Mortis Dreadnought
- Kheres x2
Gal Vorbak x10
- Artificer, Power Fist, 2x Power Weapon (Maul?)
TROOPS – 485
Legion Vet Tactical Squad x10
- Marksmen, 2x Heavy Bolters, Artificer
- Rhino
Legion Vet Tactical Squad x10
- Machine Killers, 2x Meltagun, Artificer
- Rhino w/ Dozer Blade
FAST ATTACK – 185
Ashen Circle x5
- Inferno Pistol
HEAVY SUPPORT – 370
Spartan
- Armoured Ceramite, Flare Shield, Twin-Linked Heavy Flamer
TOTAL: 2000
I’d like some overall guidance on the list, and how to use it, particularly:
- where to attach the independents/apothecary
- Whether to put the Gal Vorbak in the Spartan, or Deep Strike them
- Will the Sniper Tact squad be alright without Dozer Blade on the Rhino, and what limitations should I expect from that?
Also why do Ashen Circle never seem to get touched in other lists I’ve seen?
They’re awesome models, and seem (at least from a fluff perspective) designed to assassinate nasty
HQ/Elite threats. How effective are they to take in practice?
Many thanks guys, first time poster!
