I can't see why not. What is the Nova Wolves tactics using? When you have Tau allying up with Eldar or any of the weird combinations people are doing now especially when they are unfluffy, you can do it. Depending on tactics are different you might not use them but not being a Space Marine player, I can't say for sure.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.
Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Then I'd say there's no problem, myself. They're all using the same rules, so they're just two chapters fighting side by side. Nothing wrong or unusual about that.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

Using Object Source Lighting

It might not look the most amazing on table if it's a hodgepodge, but I definitely wouldn't think twice about any complaint.
About the only time I'd have a problem is if you were using some mix of chapter rules and they weren't clearly separate ("this red assault squad is death co, while this red assault squad with tiny skulls are blood claws", or something).
