On a surly Warboar, leading the Waaagh!

Enough with my puny shovel, I want one! I like the fact that it's camouflaged so the snow doesn't see you coming!

Who on earth thought attaching a leaf blower to a tank was a good idea?

I am not entirely sure what the purpose of this would be. Driving it along a road would result in all the chunks blowing directly at oncoming cars plus the fact that it would just blow the snow directly in front of it and not off the road...

Now take one of these to a pool part however and you'll dry everyone off in no time!

That would have been pretty handy for some of the snow storms we've had here in Canada this winter. Yeah, the winter wasn't that bad, but still would have been handy to have this.

Now I just need to get a tank off of Amazon and hack it together with a giant leaf blower.

I recall the Soviets installing jet engines on tanks that would be used to perform a high pressure decontamination wash of armoured vehicles that had been exposed to Nuclear fallou or Biological and Chemical weapons.

This seems to be an outgrowth of the concept, snow clearing being a function of a nozzle attachment.

There's also a version that uses a T-55 and a jet engine to blow a high pressure stream of diffused water droplets (mist) to put MAHOOSIVE fires out.
The mist causes a massive temperature drop in the fire (fires need a certain temperature minimum (flashpoint) as well as oxygen and consumables, kick one leg out on the tripod, they tend to be easier to put out).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

They uses one after gulf war one as it could drive closer being well a tank and protect the fire crew.
Also it had no issue on oil soaked sand or terrain.

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

I have no clue how Dakka's moderation work. I expect it involves throwing a lot of d100 and looking at many random tables.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.
