As ever I've been busy with my Blood Angels but it's sometimes nice to have a break and paint an Ork! Finished this guy up today – hope you like him!

Im not a fan of the new painboy model but this looks tasty, although he looks too clean to my opinion, given he is a medic afterall, and an ork. I would make him dirtier.

I added quite a few washes to his apron, and the blood stains. The metal is pretty worn-looking too - I suppose I could add some stains to his trousers but can't really think of anything else to make him more dirty looking!

I really like it!

I love your painting style, and I really love the skin on this guy.

I don't think he is too clean, I love clean after all

However, there is a huge mold line where the head connects to the neck.

Otherwise it looks amazing!

Thanks gummy!

It's not a mould line, it's just where the two parts of the model join. Should have tried to cover it with GS though...

Hi,

Great job, very nice.

Which colors did you use for the skin?

Cheers

Wow, your technical skill is very impressive. The lighting and shading is exceptional and the liquids in the tubes and vials are also top notch.

I see where you added rust and blood, but I think people have said he looks "clean" because even the rusty metal is highlighted with light reflecting off the edges. I think your painting style is just so bright and crisp that he will always look clean even if you paint lots of rust and blood on him!

Really excellent work. Thanks for sharing.

I loved how clean this was and well executed. It is rare to see in the modern 40K world. Well done. I would love to see you do something particularly mid 90's like an Ork or two and see your take on them.

Nice work. I like how you have put enough blood but not too much. I have this guy coming up on my workbench. Good to see someone else's approach.

For the skin I used Vallejo Game Air Goblin Green (over German Red Brown primer), followed by Vallejo Model Air Ivory to highlight. I then gave it a couple of coats of Citadel Athonian Camoshade, and some further highlights of thinned Ivory.

You did a good job balancing the red and green without it looking Christmas-y. Nice job!

Yes, that green looks vibrant, but not unnatural. Very nice.
