I'm trying to figure out how Red-Blade's ability that gives d3 infantry units the Scout rule work in regards to infantry units in vehicles. Do they still get to scout if they are in a vehicle? Can they only do it in a vehicle if it is a dedicated transport? Is there an existing rule that explains this interaction already that I missed? Any help would be awesome.

The scout special rule is transfered to any dedicated transport the unit is in. That's just part of the scout rule as it is written in the rule book. He also scouts up to 3 units and not d3.

He's basicaly Ahrimans counterpart. You get 3 units with scout, so he's a prety usefull HQ.

Also he's pretty good at killing vehicles last game i used him he got 3 hp off a leviathon and finished off a landraider.

Yah he can pretty reliably hurt AV14 I discovered vsing him the other day
