I'm looking at proxying an army for a few small games. I'm looking at Flesh Eaters and I'm trying to wrap my head around army construction and how battalions function.

Just looking for a basic list to learn the mechanics of the game.
Here are the two battalions I'm looking at:
#1 Ghoul Patrol
#2 Abattoir

Ghast Courtier
Haunter Courtier
4 units of Crypt Ghouls at 10 ghouls each
2 units of Crypt Horrors at 3 Horrors each

Running both at a minimum is 1040 points, right?
Which one should I run at a 1000 point game, and what else do I want in those learning lists?
Thanks,
