Hey guys! I have my 1st ever tournament coming up at the end of March. It is 2000 pts list. I will be playing against Tau, Eldar, Knights, the new Chaos SM, and I don't know what else. I plan to run Brandon Grant's list:

This leaves me with 150 pts. that I'm not sure where BEST to put 'em. Any suggestions for a 1st timer will be appreciated.

Maybe the named bike character or a librarian on bike in the ravenwing strike force.

A interrogator chaplain on bike rolling with the command squad is pretty mean with zealot in the RWSF. A librarian would be really useful there to.

The chaplain in the Lions Blade is on a bike and will join the RWCS.
I don't think an Interrogator Chaplain can take the bike.
I like the Librarian on a bike (FTW :p) but do yall think it needs more melta? like a bike squad with melta guns?

Ah. Missed where you gave the chaplain a bike. But an Interrogator-Chaplain can take a bike. I run one with my Black Knights. I would definitely give them some melta guns or something. Once the razor's get popped (and they most likely will) those tac squads really won't have any teeth and can be ignored by most things.

If that first tac squad is taking a HB i'd probably change that to something else as well, maybe a melta/plas/flamer/grav. They aren't all that great and if you are moving your tac squads a lot it won't be firing at full BS very often.

If you still have 150 points left over already, a ML 2 Libby on a bike with shroud of heroes is only 125 points. That still leaves enough points for 2 more meltaguns on your tac squads. You'd really only have to pick if you wanted to start throwing in combi-melta. When it comes to combi-weapons, some people like em some don't so it's kind of whatever you prefer. I usually only take them in drop pods though.

what are the thoughts on the Ravenwing Banner?

I like it. Being able to re-roll fear, pinning, etc. is nice but being about to automatically hit and run is pretty awesome. Especially if you accidentally get stuck in a combat you don't want to be in or if you want to get out of combat so you can charge in again.

And don't forget to use the stasis bomb if you are about to charge a unit that's especially tough. It lowers their WS and I by 1 which can make a big difference.
