Hello everyone I know I'm newer here but I've always loved batreps and thought I'd post my own. This was my second tournament ever and my game over 1500pts In 7th edition. I played a little in 5th ed and now have only played around 10 or 12 games in 7th including this tournament. I actually won my 1st tournament at 1000pts with my ork biker army. I feel I learned a lot in this 2000 pts tournament and thought I'd share some of my experiences.

Here is the list I used

Zhadsnark
Warboss bike and lucky stick
Mek
Mek
7xBikers w/nob klaw
3x bikers w/nob klaw
3 x bikers
3x bikers
8 lootas +3 meks
Void shield generator 3 shields
Buzzgob + buzzgob stompa x 2 deffkannons in place of klaw

Ork great waaagh detachment
Big Mek bike MFF
Painboy bike
Mek
Mek
3x bikers
3xbikers
3 x grot tanks kommanda 3x grotzookas with skorcha also on kommanda

*All the Meks and lootas are in the stompa shooting and fixing the stompa as needed. Zhadsnark, stickboss, painboy, bigmek, and 6 boys with klaw nob make up bike star.*

Deployment style: Dawn of war

Mission 1: Emperor’s Will
City type board with lots of buildings.

Opponent : Necrons
Necron list (from memory).
Decurion
Nightbringer (in a squad with two other models that buffed him)
Necron overlord
Necron named character crypteck
1 regular cryptec
1 unit lichguard
2 units immortals
2 units warriors
2 units flayed ones
1 unit of Necron bikes
2 ghost arc
2 units deathmarks

There was night fighting first turn and I placed my objective in the lower right of my deployment area.

(I wanted to preface my story by saying there is units in this army I know nothing about like the lichguard.)
I won the roll off to go first. I chose to deploy first and rolled a two for the power fields my stompa would have this game. I placed the void shield generator in the center and at the forward most part of my deployment zone between two buildings. I placed the stompa just to the right of center with two bike squads and the grot tanks near my objective. I placed the bike star and three other bike squads to the left of the VSG.

So all of my units started with in the 12 inches of the void shield.
He failed to seize initiative.

Turn 1: I moved Zhadsnark and the bike star up the middle along with the stompa and another small bike squad behind from the middle towards the objective and behind some buildings. I moved another squad left around some buildings. The two bike squads on the left and the grot tanks moved up the right side. Every bike squad turbo boosted to put many right on his deployment area and for better jink.

The Necron player had deployed his lychguard with named cryptek and lord in center and moved them forward. He moved a squad of immortals off his objective on the right of his deployment zone. And keeps hiding the line cryptek behind some buildings to my right.

Turn: 2

I move forward with all units with the exception of the one bike squad squatting on my objective. Bikes on right and left turbo boost and grot tanks flat out.

Zhadsnark bike star hooks left around big center building and moves toward opponents objective shooting at the immortal squad there. My stomp shoots the lifts droppa at a ghost arc he had deployed on top of center building of his deployment above lychstar. The hit is successful and throws the ghost arc at his lychstar detonating it. First blood to me! Some ambiguity on the rules for the lifta droppa causes us to disagree on the fate of the lychstar and the units in the vehicle. I give in in the spirit of friendly play and allow him to only take tests and hits on the unit of warriors inside. A couple of the warrior die but reanimate although they are pinned. I shoot the gaze of more unsuccessfully and the two deffkannons at the lychstar barely scattering off into another direction and still getting most of the unit. He makes most of his 3++ and rerolls the failed ones successfully, he then brings dead lychguard back to life with reanimation and re animation rerolls. He loses none.

He brings on another unit of immortals from reserve and deep strikes the nightbringer inside my void shield in charge range of my stompa. He moves and shoots at my bike star with the first unit of immortals and moves the new unit of immortals onto his objective. He assaults with his immortals first at my bikestar and Kill 2 out of 5 with overwatch after reanimation rolls. He then assaults me with his lychstar.
(I wish I had known how durable these guys would be especially the the lord and named cryptek in the squad) I lose a few bikers even after landing many many klaw wounds and regular choppas wounds on him. He just rerolled everything and took no damage. I tanked some with the stick boss and feel no pain.

Turn 3

I move up grot tanks and all the small bike squads. I shoot the grotzookas at the previously pinned warriors and kill all but 2 after reanimation. One grotzooka template scatters onto one of my small bike squads near to the assault in progress. The Stompa shoots everything at the night bringer but I and unable to do any damage because he used some kind of war gear that makes me snap shoot therefore not allowing my deffkannons to shoot at him. He shrugs off the other weapons with saves and feel no pain. Assault continues with the bike star . I lose 2 more biker boys and he loses a lychguard.

His turn. the two death mark and flayed one squads come on and deep strike onto my side of the board. The death marks whittle down one bike squad to just a nob and eliminate the squad holding my objective. He assaults my stompa with the nightbringer. It shrugs off my overwatch and gets stuck in. It strikes first taking 4 of 12 hull points off the stompa. I do 1 wound wth my 4 attacks back and then stomp. The stompa lives up to its name and stomps him into C'tan jelly on a 6! The star on star combat sees all the rest of the biker boys and nob gone and a wound on the big Mek and a wound on the stick boss. One more lychguard falls.

Turn 4

I shoot at the flayed ones and death marks with stompa. Doing little damage due to scatter and ork rolling. I shoot one of the death marks squads down to a man with the grot tanks. And move the lone nob biker with klaw towards the center melee for the charge. I charge into the melee and except the challenger of the overlord with the lone nob. I take down another lychguard but lose my big Mek, nob and painboy leaving Zhadsnark and the stick boss.

His second gist arc and bikes come on . He bring back most of the previously dead warrior squad and starts shooting at grits tanks taking one down. He shoots my bike squad on the left with immortals from his objective erasing them. He turboboosts his jet bikes toward the stompa. His named cryptek goes super saiyan then he finishs off Zhadsnark and stick boss. I remove on more lychguard. He consolidates toward stompa.

Turn 5.

Grot tanks double back and wipe the board of the flayed ones and remaining deathmarks through some brilliant scatter as they are just outside my void shield on my objective. I shoot his bikes with stompa killing one. I assault bikes and kill them.

He advances forward and game ends. 4 to 1 because he slayed my warlord and held his objective. I received first blood. Had I known the staying power of the lychstar I would have shot them and kited them or avoided them and killed all his other units. He never even took down the void shields he deep struck inside them to avoid hitting the shields. I believe my list was better. My inexperience against that type of army caused my poor choice in tactics. Live and learn.

They really were the stars of the tournament. Everyone ignored them. My second game was against a daemon player where they owned nurglings and plague bearers galore.
