Hey there, I am about to get hive tyrant, but does it come with twin devourer or do I have to convert my own?

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

Strangely, looking at the sprue, it doesn't seem to contain any devourers. Which is odd.

The plastic kit does not come with TL Devourers (in fact, none of the plastic kits do).

You can get 4 plastic devourer arms and use those (2 twin linked);
or convert your own (that's what I did);
or purchase sets from Forge World (https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-US/Tyranid-Twin-linked-Devourers).

If you don't know, the hive tyrant has two sets of arm sockets on each side of its body. If you plan on using wings, they take up one of the two slots (on the model, but not in the rules). That's why most people use the FW or convert their own. So they can add wings in one set of sockets and a single arm with TL Devourers in the other set of sockets.

The only kit containing plastic monstrous creature devourer arms is the carnifex kit, and that kit only has one pair

As kungfujon posted, you could buy the Forgeworld MC devourer arms. They're clearly designed for flyrants because each arm has two devourers on it, and given one pair of arms is being used for wings their design means you still have four devourers represented on the model

Otherwise a pretty common proxy is the tyrannofex fleshborer hive arms. Nobody actually uses them on a T-fex so there isn't going to be any confusion about what they represent. Another decent representation I've seen is a normal MC biocannon (T-fex acid spray for example) but with the gun barrel replaced by four devourer barrels.

I'm not a converter though, so I use the FW devs

Use termagant devourers. Aside from the arm holding them, they're the same size as the ones that come with the carnifex kit.
Here they are side by side.

Get the deathspitters that came with your hive tyrant, cut off the guns at the wrist, and glue the termagant devourers to the end.

Do the same thing with a pair of scything talons, and now you have two pairs of devourers.
