I have been playing DG for a long time now as a fully devoted member of the church of pestilence. A lot of the competative lists for CSM (that don't focus on Magnus and friends) seem to be DG heavy.

Now, AL was always my second favorite legion. And I would love to start them but don't want to just dive in. What can they do that makes them competitive?

I usually run a Renegades and Heretics detachment and after playing renegades for so long, the hardest bullet to bite is Alpha legions focus on cultists. Compared to the infantry I can get from R&H, they're really subpar.

Let me know what you think, really interested in making them competitive.
