Hey,

I am thinking of starting night lords, and would like to hear how they play, and some general advice.

I was thinking of using terror squads and jetbikes, in a terror assault list. Should the terror squad droppod, infiltrate or outflank?

The beauty of Terror Assault is you can do really anything deployment wise. I am building both a Pod list and an Infiltrate list, because why not?

Terror Squads are very good. They are good at loading up on CHOOM and Fear actually matters in 30k, so that is a plus. Definitely load up on these (since you have no choice anyhow, because of the RoW!).

Jetbikes are pretty solid, though I never feature them in my TA lists usually. They can act as a solid anchor unit if you go for a Pod/Reserve oriented list.

I play 1000 and 2000 Heresy Night Lords.

For Terror Squads, I do 1st squad infiltrate and 2nd squad Drop pod. (the 3rd I keep in back near an objective). Use the Terror Assault Rite and take them as 3 compulsory troop choices.
You DEFINITELY want them to have Volkites. They get pricey, but are 100% worth it against Infantry.

The only weakness NL have is against armor. With only one heavy choice, I took the Sicaran. The bolstered out with 2 Contemptors at 2000. 1st has plasma cannon, 2nd has 2 Kheres.

I do run a speeder armed for anti-tank with lascannons.

at 2K I run Sevatar with a deep striking unit of Terminators. They can be NASTY and do not scatter.

NL are really fun in 30K with all their tricks. Also new units by the end of the year will make things even better.
